In his role as the Architect’s Project Manager*, Anthony Bernheim assumed a leadership role as the project’s Sustainable Building Practices Leader. He introduced the concept of good design for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in the early 1990s and developed four principles for improved IAQ design, construction, and building operation. He collaborated with the design team on the selection of low volatile organic compound (VOC) emitting building products and furnishings, and led the process to develop technical specifications requiring interior building products to have emission test data provided as part of compliance with the project requirements. The IAQ results have been documented and published in peer reviewed technical conferences.
